Matador Beach is by far my favorite beach in Malibu. It's hidden out of sight from the Pacific Coast Highway, and only a tiny street sign shows the way (unlike all the big crowded beaches with their big advertisement). Makes this the perfect hidden gem of serenity.
This was shot at the blue hour just before sunrise, when the sky is already illuminated enough to give plenty ambient light, but the sun isn't out yet. For landscape photographers, this light is the reason to get up painfully early.
