Shiodome Stairs
Tokyo's Shiodome district is a crazy futuristic urban landscape, with 3 levels of pathways snaking around between skyscrapers, connecting office buildings, malls, and several subway stations. But unlike the bustling traditional districts, it is completely deserted at night.
All these Christmas lights make nice sparkly reflections, great for glam shots. They are tricky to render with, though - even with importance sampling. It's highly advised to use the small ENV image (included) for diffuse lighting. Smart IBL automates this setup process.

- All examples rendered in Modo, no external postprocessing.
- Rendered using 8K background pano (included in all 3 license levels).
- Lighting on the location is highly spacially varying, requires some manual tweaking to match, depending on where an object is placed.
- Thousands of tiny LED lights make it hard to sample. I recommend using the included blurred ENV image for diffuse lighting for softer shadows.
